CAKE FAQs

What are the ingredients in the cake? Cakes are made with all natural ingredients. Primary ingredients are butter, sugar, milk, flour and eggs. Cakes may also contain lemon zest, almond extract and sour cream.

 

How are the cakes packaged for shipping? The pound cakes are removed from the oven, allowed to cool, securely wrapped and immediately frozen to protect the flavor. They are shipped frozen and arrive fresh, moist and ready to serve. In fact, in blind customer taste tests, customers preferred the cakes that were previously frozen to the fresh-baked versions. This is typical for pound cakes.

 

How should the cakes be stored once they arrive at their destination? Cakes can be stored for up to 2 weeks if refrigerated in air tight containers or they can be frozen for an extended period of time. Because our cakes contain all natural ingredients, they can be re-frozen with no impact to the flavor or moistness of the cake.

 

 

PAYMENT FAQs

 

What forms of payment are accepted? We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express and Paypal.

 

How are payments processed? All payments are processed through Paypal. Our website uses Paypal Website Payment Pro technology. As a result, the integration to Paypal is seamless. and secure. We do not see or retain your credit card information.

 

 

SHIPPING FAQs

 

How are packages shipped?  All packages are shipped by UPS. During the checkout process, you can select the delivery method. Ground shipping is the lowest cost and can take 2-5 business days depending on your location. 2-day, 3-day and overnight shipping is also available to most destinations.  In some cases the delivery date for the ground shipping option will be the same as the delivery date for 2-day shipping.  In this case, choose ground for the lowest cost.  Shipping costs will vary based on the weight of the products selected and the final destination of the package. The total shipping cost will be provided to you before you confirm your order and your credit card is charged.  Note:  The shipping costs are direct costs as calculated by UPS. 

How can I track my package?  You will receive an email from UPS when your package has been shipped, when your package has been delivered or if UPS has an issue with delivering your package on the expected date.  On the notification will be a tracking number.  You can go to www.ups.com, enter the tracking number and obtain an update on the delivery status of your package.

 

What time will the package arrive?  UPS generally delivers to residential addresses Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and to business addresses during their normal business hours. During busy holiday times, deliveries may occur later than 7:00 p.m. Neither UPS nor C.A.K.E. And A Prayer can guarantee that the package will be delivered at a specific time of day.

 

What happens if I provide and incorrect address?  When an incorrect address is provided, C.A.K.E. And A Prayer will work with the carrier to redirect the package to get your gift delivered in as timely a manner as possible. However, there is a $10 change of address fee imposed by the carrier that will be charged directly to you.

 

What if my delivery is delayed?  Once your package leaves C.A.K.E. And A Prayer and is accepted by UPS, we are no longer held liable for damages caused by delivery delays due to weather, carrier malfunctions, etc.   C.A.K.E. And A Prayer does not maintain liability for misdirected and/or delayed packages if incomplete or inaccurate address information was provided at the time the order was placed. C.A.K.E. And A Prayer is not responsible for any damages or non-delivery of products if the intended recipient is not there to receive the package.

And A Prayer, our goal is to not only meet, but to exceed our customer's expectations.  If you are not pleased with the quality or condition of the product you received, please contact us at 800-288-CAKE (2253) within 3 business days of product receipt.  We will do everything we can to make sure you are satisfied.

 

If your order is delayed because it was not sent out on the ship date specified on your order, C.A.K.E. And A Prayer will refund your shipping charges.
